How to Use:

  1. Scrape the magnesium alloy rod with the striker to create sparks.
  2. Direct the sparks onto tinder to ignite a flame.

To start your fire, simply gather a small pile of dry grass, wood shavings, or other tinder. Place the magnesium firesteel shaft near the tinder and swiftly strike down the shaft at a right angle with the striker to create sparks. These sparks will set the tinder alight, allowing you to add progressively larger pieces of fuel to build the fire to the desired size.
